I am a premium member, and while I don't blog on a regular basis, I do use and enjoy the blog feature. Yesterday, I went to post to my blog, and aaaaaaah! I was only allowed 4000 characters?! Call me crazy, but wasn't 8000 characters the maximum for a post?
If this is the case, can we change it back to 8000, please? I don't understand why a board post is allowed to be longer than a blog post. And as a person who loves writing and can just go on, 4000 characters is not enough.
Regardless of how it used to be, 8000 characters should just be the max. If this was changed, can someone please explain why?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and vaunt almost any other blogging site. The zone's method is very barebones, as compared to most other dedicated services that give the user tons of control and features.
You can always link to the blog from your user profile.

Call me ungreatful if you want, but I'm actually with the original poster on this one. If 8000 characters is the max for board posts, why not the blog? I can understand not having a limit higher than that of the boards, but lower?

Thanks, Chris. I don't blog here iether, but I do agree with the original poster. I've clicked on the blog page, and it always makes my browser crash. Doesn't happen on any other page. I don't get it.
My browser sometimes crashes too. I think probably it's just the size of the thing. It's got to be huge.
